"Boathouse and a Crow"

Boathouse and a Crow was taken in Vineyard Haven on Martha's Vineyard.  The most commonly asked question is, "Did you add the crow in Photoshop?"  The answer is "No".   
I had been photographing the harbor with a 50mm lens when I saw the crow perched on the boathouse.  I kept saying "Don't move!  Don't move!" while I changed my lens to a moderate telephoto.  As soon as the lens clicked into the mount and I pressed the shutter, the crow took off.  I actually prefer the bird in flight as it adds to the drama of the image.  The slight motion blur, extended wings and placement on the cloudy sky, all make this one of my favorite images I have created on Martha's Vineyard.
